Crime: Youth Brutally Murdered Over Land Dispute, Trapped by Girlfriend’s Plot
A 22-year-old Ola driver from Jogeshwari, Mumbai, Akram Iqbaluddin Qureshi, was brutally murdered in Bhiwandi on January 17. He was lured by his girlfriend, Jassi Tiwari, and attacked by four others over a long-standing land dispute in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh. The Bhiwandi rural police have arrested all five accused.
The accused, Mohammad Kaif, Isamuddin Qureshi, Salman Khan, and Suhail Qureshi, had a grudge against Akram due to a 2022 land dispute. As part of their plan, Kaif used his girlfriend to lure Akram into a relationship. She invited him to Bhiwandi, accompanied him in his car, and led him to the ambush site. The four men, lying in wait, attacked Akram with iron rods and stones, killing him on the spot.
Despite limited leads, the police traced the suspects through CCTV footage and technical analysis. The victim’s family has demanded strict punishment for the culprits.
